Job summary

Softball NSW is seeking a State Teams Operations and Technical Officer to oversee operations and logistics for State Teams at National Championships. The role links coaching, umpiring and scoring with the high performance program, ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration across events and championships.

You will work with the High Performance Committee, selectors and team managers from State Championships through to nationals, coordinating budgets, travel, uniforms and policy reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a high performance environment preferred.
• Strong coordination and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Softball Australia on delivering National Championships.
• Coordinate the Expression of Interest (EOI) process for players, coaches, selectors and officials.
• Coordinate the selection process with selectors and the High Performance Committee to follow policy guidelines.
• Manage communication with EOI applicants, including outcomes and feedback.
• Maintain records of selection processes and decisions for transparency.
• Prepare and manage State Team budgets in consultation with the CEO and team managers.
• Coordinate travel and accommodation for State Teams with our travel provider.
• Manage State Team uniforms and training gear with the apparel provider, including stock management.
• Liaise with Directors of Coaching, Umpiring and Scoring to support training and administration.
• Review State Teams, selection and technical policies annually and propose improvements to the CEO and committee.
• Assist the Events Officer with delivering Softball NSW State Championships and events.
