Job summary

Surf Life Saving Australia is seeking an Events Administrator to support national events planning, coordination and delivery. You will provide high-quality admin and operational support to the Event Team, ensuring events run safely, on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will have qualifications in event or sports management, experience with volunteers, and strong organisational and communication skills; the role offers hybrid work and opportunities to travel for national events.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting planning and delivery of events—sporting, community or large-scale.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, stakeholders and deadlines.
• Experience in volunteer, sporting or not-for-profit environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event planning documentation and schedules for national events.
• Assist with site planning, contractors, and infrastructure coordination.
• Develop bump-in/bump-out timelines to support delivery.
• Administer event entries, results and participant information systems.
• Distribute operational communications to stakeholders and teams.
• Coordinate volunteers, officials, contractors and suppliers for outcomes.
• Support budget monitoring, WHS compliance and post-event reviews.
• Attend national events across Australia as required.
