SMAART Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking an experienced State Manager - Home Assessing to lead an established assessing function during a period of change and growth. You'll oversee approximately 25 staff across three On-Road Assessing teams, with three Team Leaders, and drive a culture of accountability.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure performance, compliance and service standards while working closely with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Construction and insurance building experience is non-negotiable.
• Experience with insurers, insurance builders or restoration businesses is preferred.
• Understanding home assessing, building repair and weather-event scenarios is essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach and develop three Team Leaders and ~25 staff.
• Drive a cultural reset with clear expectations and accountability.
• Monitor operational, customer and commercial performance.
• Develop leadership capability and identify future talent.
• Act as escalation point for complex matters and disputes.
• Collaborate with Claims, Commercial and broader operations.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities across assessing and repair.
• Lead change and continuous improvement initiatives.
