Job summary

Elastic is seeking a dynamic Public Sector Account Executive to lead growth into State Government and Higher Education. You will drive net-new revenue and expansion within Public Sector Accounts, leveraging a blend of technical curiosity and value-based selling to deliver measurable outcomes.

The role requires building pipeline in government accounts, navigating complex cycles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to secure strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven selling track record into State Government and/or Higher Education
• Executive negotiation and closing experience
• Confident presenting to C-suite and senior stakeholders
• Ability to craft value stories linking Elastic capabilities to outcomes

Responsibilities

• Proactively build and self-generate pipeline in government/higher education accounts
• Drive adoption of Elastic’s AI-powered search, Observability and Security solutions
• Act as a trusted advisor turning data into actionable insights
• Speak credibly about data sovereignty, security clearance, and compliance requirements
• Identify new use cases and showcase Elastic solutions to improve efficiency
• Help customers manage exploding data volumes with observability and security visibility
• Advocate for Open Source while explaining paid features
• Develop strategic territory plans using ecosystems to drive growth
• Navigate complex sales cycles and maintain forecast accuracy with CRM
• Coordinate with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps
