The Australian Hotel & Brewery Rouse Hill is a bustling venue known for its award-winning craft beers, quality food, and vibrant atmosphere.
As part of the Sonnel group, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to our guests, and we're now looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
The Sous Chef will oversee and assist the head chef in all kitchen operations, staffing & training, creating menus and dishes, maintaining targets & KPIS’s, manage food preparation, and ensure high-quality dishes are served to customers. Working with front of house management and marketing to grow the businesses reach through various platforms, as well as communicating with our other venues team.

Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management
Strong leadership and communication skills
A passion for creating exceptional dishes and running efficient services
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and consistency
Leadership qualities, with the ability to train and motivate a team
A composed personality that works easily with others
Good knowledge of cost control, stock management, and food safety standards
Attention to detail and creativity in menu planning & dish creation
Someone who loves food and hospitality
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef)
Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen brigade
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A commitment to maintaining high standards in food quality, cleanliness, and OH&S compliance
