Working closely with our Head Chefs and senior culinary leaders, you’ll help lead daily kitchen operations, maintain high standards and support the development of a capable and engaged kitchen team.
Depending on the venue, the role may involve restaurant service, catering production, events or social impact programs. Weekend and evening availability will be required, with rosters varying across locations.
Support the Head Chef in leading day-to-day kitchen operations.
Deliver consistently high-quality food across preparation and service.
Lead, train and motivate chefs and kitchen team members.
Help manage ordering, stock rotation, food costs and wastage.
Maintain effective kitchen systems, prep schedules and section readiness.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
Maintain a calm, organised and solutions-focused approach during busy services.
Contribute to menu development and continuous improvement.
Help create an inclusive, respectful and supportive kitchen culture.
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie ready to step up.
Diploma in Hospitality, Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or completed apprenticeship
Strong service, organisational and kitchen leadership skills.
Experience in busy restaurant, catering or high-volume environments.
A sound understanding of food safety, stock control and kitchen operations.
Reliability, initiative and the ability to communicate effectively.
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
Full Australian working rights.
