Job summary

Indigenous Business Australia, Brisbane, is seeking a capable professional to join the Business Solutions team to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs on their journey to viability.

You will build stakeholder networks, assess business readiness, and establish development pathways, linking customers to resources that enhance knowledge and capabilities to operate a viable enterprise.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated cultural capability and experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities or organisations.
• Experience in business lending, lending policy or risk management.
• Previous experience related to Business Management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work independently and interact effectively with stakeholders.
• Build and manage networks of stakeholders, working partnerships and external resources to identify and build a pipeline of potential customers who are aspiring, start-up or existing business operators.
• Work closely with customers to assess their business readiness and establish a development pathway into business.
• Provide guidance and linkages to resources that support customers’ development of personal characteristics, capabilities, industry knowledge and understanding of the principles of business, necessary to establish and operate a viable business.
