Ansvar Insurance, part of the Benefact Group, seeks a Melbourne-based SME Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth by building broker networks and leveraging underwriting appetite across SME sectors.

You’ll train brokers, nurture a strong pipeline and represent Ansvar at events, partnering with underwriters to secure sustainable volumes in a dynamic, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Five years’ sales, relationship management or business development in general insurance, SME or commercial lines.
• Proven track record of profitable growth through broker networks.
• Experience developing growth plans across brokers, sectors and regions.

Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen relationships with brokers, cluster groups and networks to generate SME business.
• Deliver broker training on Ansvar’s products, sectors and underwriting appetite.
• Maintain a strong portfolio-level pipeline for sustainable growth.
• Represent Ansvar at broker events, conferences and industry forums.
• Use market engagement to identify opportunities and raise awareness of Ansvar’s SME proposition.
