Job summary

Ansvar Australia, proudly part of the Benefact Group, is seeking an SME Business Development Manager to join our Melbourne office. You will drive profitable growth across Ansvar’s SME portfolio by building strong relationships with brokers, cluster groups and networks that generate sustainable volumes of business aligned with our underwriting appetite.

You’ll train brokers on products, sectors and underwriting appetite, maintain a robust pipeline, and represent Ansvar at industry events.

Qualifications

• Five years’ sales, relationship management or business development experience in general insurance, with a proven track record of profitable growth.
• Strong broker relationship management experience, with the ability to build credibility with brokers, cluster groups and networks.
• Experience developing and executing targeted growth plans across brokers, sectors, regions and networks.

Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen relationships with brokers, cluster groups and networks to deliver SME business.
• Deliver broker training on Ansvar’s products, sectors of specialism and underwriting appetite, and keep partners up to date with product and service enhancements.
• Maintain a strong portfolio-level pipeline focused on growth opportunities.
• Represent Ansvar at broker events, conferences and industry engagements as required.
• Use market engagement to increase awareness of Ansvar’s SME proposition and appetite.
