Job summary

Ansvar Australia, part of Benefact Group, is seeking an SME Business Development Manager to join the Melbourne office. You will deliver profitable growth across SME portfolios by building broker relationships and networks aligned with underwriting appetite.

You will engage with brokers, deliver product and underwriting training, manage a strong pipeline, and represent Ansvar at industry events. A hybrid work model and generous bonuses support your development and impact.

Qualifications

• Five years’ sales, relationship management or business development experience in general insurance, ideally SME or commercial lines.
• Strong broker relationship management experience with credibility with brokers and networks.
• Experience developing and executing targeted growth plans across brokers, sectors and regions.

Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen relationships with brokers, cluster groups and networks to deliver SME volumes.
• Deliver broker training on Ansvar’s products, sectors and underwriting appetite.
• Maintain a strong portfolio pipeline focused on meaningful growth.
• Represent Ansvar at broker, cluster group and network conferences and industry events.
• Use market engagement to identify opportunities and raise awareness of Ansvar’s SME proposition.
