Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Site Support Maintenance Technician - Automation in Queensland to maintain and troubleshoot automated systems on a rotating day/afternoon shift. The role combines electrical and mechanical tasks with hands-on problem solving.

You'll work with PLCs (Siemens S7) and SCADA, receive training, and contribute to uptime while supporting safety and teamwork in a global automation environment.

Qualifications

• Australian Trade Qualification is a MUST - Cert III Engineering Mechanical Trade OR Cert III Electrotechnology Electrician OR Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
• Solid mechanical aptitude with previous maintenance experience.
• Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, automation, or MEX CMMS is a plus—training available.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on automation equipment.
• Work across day and afternoon rotation shifts with 15% loading.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure uptime.
• Receive training on PLC, Siemens S7, and SCADA as part of development.

What We're Looking For:

• Australian Trade Qualification is a MUST - Cert III Engineering Mechanical Trade OR Cert III Electrotechnology Electrician OR Unrestricted Electrical Licence

• Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, automation, or MEX CMMS is a plus - but not essential (we'll train you)
