Job summary

Dematic is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our team on a brand-new, large-scale automated warehouse project in Tarneit, Melbourne. You will service industry-leading material handling equipment, including conveyors, racking, and robotics, from installation through to go-live.

Initial hours are day shifts, Monday to Friday. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault finding, and drive PLC troubleshooting while training and supporting fellow technicians as the project

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting & problem-solving equipment faults within a maintenance environment.
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Victorian A-Grade licence) or Mechanical Fitter.
• Trade Qualification: Certificate III - Electrotechnology or Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining).
• Your own transportation and current Australian driver's license.
• A commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Be mechanically savvy (experience with maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Trouble-shoot, problem solve, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Carry out equipment audits and preventative maintenance tasks
• Fault finding, including replacement of contactors, relays, field devices, etc
• Programming drives, scanners, electronic control modules
• Troubleshooting PLCs
• Undertake training of new technicians and operators (when required)
• Seek to reduce downtime and improve system reliability
• Identify operational and equipment improvement opportunities through ongoing investigation and root cause analysis of faults

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians with strong industrial experience to join our team. These roles are based in Tarneit, Melbourne, and will be at the forefront of servicing a brand-new, large-scale automated warehouse for our customer.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major project from the initial installation and commissioning stages through to operational go-live. You will provide high-level technical support, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve incidents and breakdowns. You will get to work on industry-leading material handling equipment such as automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors, racking, and robotics.

ABOUT YOU - WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting & problem-solving equipment faults within a maintenance environment
