Job summary

Dematic, a global leader in automation and logistics, seeks a qualified field service technician to support the Adelaide region and regional SA. This field-based role provides a company vehicle, tools, laptop, uniform and mobile, with a hands-on focus on electrical and mechanical maintenance.

You will perform contract repairs, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdowns for Dematic customers, participate in on-call roaster, and may work overtime including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in fault finding and fault repair on electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery.
• South Australian electrical licence or trade qualification is required; restricted electrical licence is advantageous.
• PLC experience with Siemens S7 and SCADA WINCC is preferred.
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment is highly regarded.
• Proficient in CMMS and preventative maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality electrical and mechanical support at customer sites.
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services in Adelaide region.
• Participate in on-call roster and overtime including some weekends.
• Flexible to work day shifts; collaborate with Mobile Automation team on AGVs.

What You Will Be Working On

• Hands on role delivering high quality electrical and mechanical support
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Adelaide region
• Participation in the on-call roster and flexibility to work overtime including some weekends
• Flexible to work day shifts as part of the work roster.
• Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in conjunction with our Mobile Automation team

Tasks and Qualifications:

SETTING YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

• Experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery
• South Australian electrical licence or Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter (restricted electrical licence advantageous)
• PLC experience in Siemens S7 and Scada WIN CC is ideal
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded
• Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Experience in mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Experience in hydraulic systems an advantage
• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
• Current driver's license mandatory
• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
