Job summary

Dematic is seeking an experienced Industrial A Grade Electrician to join as a Field Service Technician in Melbourne. This field-based role includes a fully maintained company vehicle, tools, uniform, laptop and mobile, with opportunities for overtime and on-call work.

You will deliver electrical and mechanical support to customers across the Melbourne region, performing repairs, maintenance, installations and breakdown services while upholding WHS standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Australian Electrical trade licence (or will consider restricted electrical licence).
• Experience troubleshooting equipment faults and breakdowns.
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery.
• Ability to work unsupervised and be results driven.

Responsibilities

• Hands on role delivering high quality electrical and mechanical support.
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Melbourne region.
• Participation in the on-call roster and flexibility to work overtime including some weekends.
• Flexible to work day and afternoon shifts as part of the work roster.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Industrial A Grade Electrician to join our team as a Field Service Technician in Melbourne.

What you will be working on

• Hands on role delivering high quality electrical and mechanical support
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Melbourne region
• Participation in the on-call roster and flexibility to work overtime including some weekends
• Flexible to work day and afternoon shifts as part of the work roster.

Setting you up for success

• Experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery
• Australian Electrical trade licence (or will consider restricted electrical licence)
• PLC experience in Siemens S7 and Scada WIN CC is ideal
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded
• Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Experience in mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Experience in hydraulic systems an advantage
• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
• Current driver's license mandatory
• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
