Job summary

Dematic is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Adelaide team, delivering high-quality electrical and mechanical support on customer sites across the Adelaide region. The role is field-based with a company vehicle and full tools provided.

You will perform contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services, and may participate in on-call rosters with overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults.
• South Australian electrical licence or Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter (restricted electrical licence advantageous).
• Current driver’s licence mandatory.
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Hands on role delivering high quality electrical and mechanical support.
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Adelaide region.
• Participation in the on-call roster and flexibility to work overtime including some weekends.
• Flexible to work day shifts as part of the work roster.
• AGVs with Mobile Automation team.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced industrial automation technician to join our team as a Field Service Technician in Adelaide.

An attractive remuneration package with outstanding overtime opportunities are on offer. The role is supplied with tool of trade items including fully maintained company vehicle, tools, uniform, mobile phone and laptop computer.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

• Hands on role delivering high quality electrical and mechanical support
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Adelaide region
• Participation in the on-call roster and flexibility to work overtime including some weekends
• Flexible to work day shifts as part of the work roster.
• Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in conjunction with our Mobile Automation team

Tasks and Qualifications:

SETTING YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

• Experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery
• South Australian electrical licence or Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter (restricted electrical licence advantageous)
• PLC experience in Siemens S7 and Scada WIN CC is ideal
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded
• Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Experience in mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Experience in hydraulic systems an advantage
• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
• Current driver’s license mandatory
• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
