Job summary

Dematic in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Industrial A Grade Electrician to join as a Field Service Technician. You will deliver high-quality electrical and mechanical support to Dematic customers in the Melbourne region, with a fully maintained company vehicle and tools provided.

The role requires fault finding during breakdowns, preventative maintenance, installations, and participation in on-call rosters with possible weekend work; day and afternoon shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting equipment faults.
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery.
• Australian Electrical trade licence (or restricted licence considered).
• Current driver’s licence and ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical and mechanical support to customers in Melbourne.
• Perform contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdowns.
• Participate in on-call roster and overtime, including some weekends.
• Flexibility to work day and afternoon shifts.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Industrial A Grade Electrician to join our team as a Field Service Technician in Melbourne. The role is supplied with tool of trade items including fully maintained company vehicle, tools, uniform, mobile phone and laptop computer.

What You Will Be Working On

• Hands on role delivering high quality electrical and mechanical support
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Melbourne region
• Participation in the on‑call roster and flexibility to work overtime including some weekends
• Flexible to work day and afternoon shifts as part of the work roster

Tasks and Qualifications

• Experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery
• Australian Electrical trade licence (or restricted electrical licence considered)
• PLC experience in Siemens S7 and SCADA WIN CC is ideal
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded
• Experience with computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Experience in mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Experience in hydraulic systems an advantage
• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
• Current driver’s licence mandatory
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
