Job summary

Danicon Group in Sydney is seeking a Residential Site Supervisor to take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of our projects across Sydney. You will work with the Director and Operations to manage multiple residential projects from start to handover, coordinating trades, reading drawings, maintaining quality, WHS and on-time delivery.

This role suits someone who plans ahead, communicates clearly, and mentors junior foremen; a NSW Supervisor/Builder licence is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years' experience in residential site supervision.
• Experience constructing new homes, duplexes and renovations/extensions.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of Australian building standards and NCC.
• Excellent organisation, planning and communication.
• Current driver's licence and Construction White Card.
• NSW Supervisor/Builder licence or qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of multiple residential projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and deliveries.
• Manage construction programmes and keep projects on schedule.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Plan upcoming works and ensure trades/materials are organised.
• Monitor workmanship and uphold Danicon's quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and address issues early.
• Maintain WHS and site compliance.
• Coordinate inspections and authorities as required.
• Communicate progress with the office/operations team.
• Manage defects and project handovers.
• Mentor foreman and carpentry team; escalate major issues as needed.

Site Supervisor - Custom Homes, Duplexes & Renovations

Danicon Group is a Sydney-based residential builder specialising in custom homes, duplexes and high-end renovations/extensions.

We are growing our construction team and are looking for an experienced Residential Site Supervisor to take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of our projects across Sydney.

This is a key position within the business. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage residential construction projects from commencement through to handover while maintaining a high standard of workmanship, organisation and communication.

About the role

Working closely with the Director and our Operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of multiple residential projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing residential projects from commencement through to completion
• Coordinating subcontractors, trades, suppliers and deliveries
• Managing construction programmes and keeping projects on schedule
• Reading and interpreting architectural, structural and consultant drawings
• Planning upcoming works and ensuring trades and materials are organised in advance
• Monitoring workmanship and maintaining Danicon's quality standards
• Conducting site inspections and identifying issues before they become problems
• Managing WHS and general site compliance
• Coordinating inspections, consultants and relevant authorities
• Communicating progress and requirements with our office/operations team
• Managing defects and project handovers
• Assisting and mentoring our developing foreman and carpentry team
• Escalating significant technical, commercial or client matters to the Director

About you

We are looking for someone with:

• 3-5+ years' experience in residential site supervision
• Strong experience constructing new homes, duplexes and renovations/extensions
• Excellent knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing
• Strong understanding of Australian building standards, NCC requirements and WHS
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Strong trade and subcontractor management skills
• Excellent organisation and forward planning
• High attention to detail and quality
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Ability to problem-solve and make confident decisions on site
• Current driver's licence
• Construction White Card
• Trade background/Carpentry qualification highly regarded
• NSW Supervisor/Builder qualifications or licence highly regarded

The person we're looking for

This role will suit someone who takes ownership.

We don't want someone who simply turns up and reacts to what happens each day. We're looking for a supervisor who plans ahead, keeps trades moving, identifies problems early and takes pride in delivering a quality project.

You will have support from our Director, Operations and Administration team, but you need to be comfortable running your sites independently and making day-to-day construction decisions.
