Job summary

Fusion People is seeking experienced Carpenters, Bricklayers or Leading Hands for a Site Supervisor pathway in Sydney. Start at the head office to learn back-end processes, then move onsite to work with Supervisors and Managers to build practical supervision skills.

Ideal candidates have trade background and leadership potential, with clear pathways to management and a long-term construction career. Ongoing training and a supportive team environment are offered.

Responsibilities

We are seeking experienced Carpenters/ Bricklayers or Leading Hands who are looking to transition into a Site Supervisor position with a well-established residential builder delivering projects across Sydney. This is a full-time opportunity offering hands-on training, support, and clear career progression into site management.

You will start your career working within a Head Office, learning the back end processes that come with Site Supervision. After you have completed your training you will work onsite alongside other Supervisors and Managers to develop your practical knowledge.

If you have strong trade experience and leadership potential, this role will give you the platform to grow into a successful Supervisor.

What you'll be doing

Assist in coordinating and supervising trades onsite

Ensure work is completed to required quality and timeframes

Support site operations including scheduling, deliveries, and logistics

Maintain site safety standards and ensure compliance with WHS requirements

Liaise with trades, suppliers, and internal teams

Learn to manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting

Gradually take ownership of site supervision responsibilities

What we're looking for

Certificate III in Carpentry

Certificate IV in Building and Construction (completed or started)

Trade background (Carpentry or Bricklaying)

Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship

Natural leadership ability or experience leading small teams

Good communication skills and ability to coordinate trades

Keen interest in progressing into a supervisory/management role

Basic understanding of residential construction processes
