You will work closely with Construction Managers, oversee daily activities, maintain documentation, and promote a positive, high‑quality workplace. Full-time with after-hours work required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Project Supervisor in civil construction.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong leadership and coordination of crews and subcontractors.
• Commitment to OH&S standards and safe work practices.
• White Card and Australian driver’s licence required.
• Full Australian working rights.

Rodger Constructions is a locally owned and family-operated business in Warrnambool, proudly providing civil construction services across Southwest Victoria and surrounding areas for nearly 60 years.

We are proud of our progressive and diverse workforce, where skilled people are supported to succeed. We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Project Supervisor to join our team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can lead from the front, keep crews moving and deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and working closely with Construction Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification and within budget.

The ideal candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced production environment, have strong communication and leadership skills, and take pride in delivering well-organised projects of high quality.

About The Opportunity

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and supervise civil construction crews day-to-day, providing hands-on leadership and direction on site.
• Conduct daily Pre-Start meetings, clearly communicating work activities, hazards, control measures, and expectations to the crew.
• Interpret and apply design drawings, specifications, and relevant standards to ensure works are completed correctly and in accordance with project requirements.
• Work closely with Construction Managers to manage priorities, resources, programming, and sequencing to achieve project milestones.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Rodger Constructions’ OH&S policies, procedures, and site requirements.
• Monitor construction activities and identify opportunities to improve construction methods, processes, and systems to increase productivity, efficiency, and value.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with Construction Managers and relevant stakeholders regarding project progress, constraints, issues, and upcoming requirements.
• Assist with monthly progress claims, ensuring works are accurately measured and projects remain on budget.
• Participate in and conduct site audits, client meetings, inspections, handovers, safety inspections, and project signoffs as required.
• Ensure all project documentation, records and site administration are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
• Lead by example on site, promoting teamwork, accountability, quality workmanship, and a positive working environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Project Supervisor, or similar role within the civil construction industry.
• Ability to confidently interpret construction plans, specifications, levels, and project documentation.
• Strong understanding of civil construction processes, site operations, and project sequencing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and manage crews, trades, and subcontractors.
• Strong communication, organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of OH&S requirements, with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
• White Card and a valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.
