Job summary

Empower Management is seeking a Site Safety Administrator / Junior Safety Advisor to join a Queensland civil contractor delivering SEQ road and transport infrastructure projects. The role combines hands-on safety work with site operations and administration, offering growth into a Safety Advisor role.

You will work with experienced professionals, support safety systems, and help project teams deliver work safely across multiple sites in SEQ.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in civil construction safety or project safety administration.
• Experience on civil road construction projects is highly regarded.
• Practical knowledge of WHS legislation and safety systems.

Our client is an established Queensland civil contractor with a strong pipeline of road and transport infrastructure projects across South East Queensland.

As they continue to grow, they're looking for a hands-on Safety Administrator or aspiring Junior Safety Advisor to join their project delivery team.

This isn't a role where you'll spend all day behind a desk. You'll be involved in site operations, working alongside experienced construction professionals, supporting safety systems and helping project teams deliver work safely.

You'll have the support and guidance of experienced management while building the skills and confidence to take on greater safety responsibilities.

What You'll Be Doing

Support daily WHS activities across civil construction projects.

Conduct site inspections, audits and safety compliance checks.

Assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.

Coordinate inductions, pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.

Maintain WHS documentation, registers and project safety records.

Assist with environmental compliance and project reporting.

Work closely with engineers, supervisors and project managers to promote safe working practices.

Help identify risks and implement practical solutions on site.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 2 years' experience in civil construction safety or project safety administration.

Experience on TMR road construction projects highly regarded.

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or relevant WHS qualifications.
