Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is partnering with a leading Australian construction company to recruit an experienced HSE Advisor for a major Brisbane project. You will work closely with site teams, providing day-to-day HSE support and helping drive a strong safety culture on site.

The role requires hands-on safety expertise in Tier 1/2 construction, a relevant WHS qualification, and a solid grasp of safety legislation and SWMS.

Qualifications

• HSE Advisor with hands-on site exposure in major construction.
• Solid understanding of WHS/OHS legislation and best practices.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments and SWMS.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HSE support across the project.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Support project teams with risk assessments, SWMS and safety documentation.
• Investigate incidents and assist with corrective actions.
• Drive safety initiatives and promote a positive safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and company requirements.

The Opportunity

We are currently working with a leading Australian construction company who are looking to add an experienced HSE Advisor to their team. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on safety professional who enjoys being close to the project, working collaboratively with site teams and having a genuine influence on safety outcomes. Key Responsibilities

Provide day‑to‑day HSE support across the project Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations Support project teams with risk assessments, SWMS and safety documentation Investigate incidents and assist with corrective actions Drive safety initiatives and promote a positive safety culture Provide guidance and coaching to site personnel and subcontractors Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and company requirements

Skills & Experience

Previous experience as an HSE Advisor within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction environment Relevant tertiary qualification in WHS, OHS or a related discipline Strong understanding of construction safety legislation, systems and best practice Experience across site inspections, audits, incident investigations, risk assessments and SWMS Confident working with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and wider site teams Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and drive a positive safety culture
