Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company is seeking a Shift Supervisor in Decatur, IL to lead safety, quality and production on the swing shift. You will mentor front-line operators, coordinate with contractors and ADM colleagues to ensure training and resources are available for safe and effective performance.

The role supports a union facility with a large workforce, emphasizing GMP and continuous improvement. Rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, are involved.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lead and train colleagues and build teams.
• Experience in a lead/supervisor role in continuous manufacturing operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily operations performed by hourly production colleagues to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Provide employees with resources to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Provide training to ensure employees understand operational procedures and PPE requirements.
• Create and assign tasks to effectively utilize team members' experience and capabilities.
• Ensures the safety of all colleagues through training and regulatory compliance.
• Listens to colleague concerns about safety, environment, product quality and communicates improvements.
• Addresses employee concerns and maintains good communications and morale on shift.
• Evaluates colleague performance and discusses disciplinary action as needed.
• Attends operation area meetings and safety meetings.
• May perform production duties temporarily in emergencies.
• May perform reasonably similar or related duties as required.
