Job summary

ADM is seeking a 12-Hour Rotating Shift Supervisor for the Decatur, IL West Plant. This full-time, exempt role leads safety, quality, and production on the shift, mentoring front-line operators and coordinating with contractors and ADM colleagues to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The Decatur West Plant processes soybeans and corn oil with lecithin de-oiling and phospholipids, functioning within a union environment with a large hourly workforce and significant plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4+ years in related supervisory role.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Experience leading in a union manufacturing setting is a plus.
• Strong safety, quality, and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of hourly production to meet safety and quality goals.
• Provide resources to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Train staff on SOPs, PPE, and safety policies.
• Assign tasks to utilize team members' experience.
• Uphold safety through training and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and contain hazards to protect safety and product quality.
• Communicate with management about morale and safety concerns.
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback with supervisors.
• Attend area meetings and participate in safety reviews.
• Review incidents and recommend improvements; may cover emergencies.
