Job summary

Destec is seeking a Crushing Shift Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient operation of crushing circuits on a Northern Goldfields site in WA. Lead a small team of tradespeople and operators, coordinating daily activities and maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards.

Role requires hands-on leadership with experience across fixed/mobile crushing plants and a thorough understanding of mining operations. 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster; salary is competitive based on experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in crushing operations (fixed/mobile) and leading operational/maintenance teams.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and mining operations.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and ability to pass medical/drug/alcohol screens.

Description

Destec is a leading mining contractor providing ore crushing, screening, and materials handling services to major mining sites throughout Western Australia. We're proud of our innovative approach, which includes designing, building, and maintaining our own high-quality crushing and screening plants.

We're looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our operations team. This role is suited to a hands-on leader with strong knowledge across fixed crushing operations, who thrives in a fast-paced mining environment and is passionate about leading safe, productive crews.

About the Role

As a Crushing Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of crushing circuits while leading a small team of multidisciplinary personnel, including tradespeople and crushing operators. You will coordinate daily operational activities, monitor plant performance, manage shutdown and maintenance requirements, and ensure all work is completed in line with safety, production, and quality expectations.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership capability, sound operational decision-making, and the ability to foster a positive team culture while maintaining high safety standards across site operations.

• Roster: 2 weeks on 1 week off (7 days, 7 nights & 7 off)
• Location: Iron ore mine site located in Northern Goldfields
• Remuneration: Competitive market rates based on experience

What you need

• Demonstrated experience in crushing operations, ideally across both fixed and mobile crushing plants.
• Previous supervisory experience leading operational and maintenance teams.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and mining operations.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen.
