Job summary

Engineering Trades Australia is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fixed Plant Supervisor to join a client team on-site at Mt Ida, Western Australia. This temporary/casual role offers an 8:6 roster from Thursday to Thursday and a leadership position overseeing mechanical fixed plant maintenance.

You will supervise maintenance activities, coordinate trades, plan preventative and breakdown work, and drive plant reliability while upholding safety and site standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within mining or heavy industry.
• Strong experience working with fixed plant and processing equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Solid understanding of preventative and breakdown maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day mechanical fixed plant maintenance activities.
• Lead and coordinate mechanical trades and maintenance personnel.
• Plan and prioritise preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, materials and resources.
• Monitor plant performance and identify maintenance requirements.
• Assist with fault finding, troubleshooting and complex mechanical issues.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures, standards and safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance, operations and site management teams.
• Monitor work progress and provide regular updates to site leadership.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across fixed plant maintenance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fixed Plant Supervisor to join our client's team at Mt Ida, Western Australia, on a temporary/casual basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanical supervisor looking for their next mining opportunity, working on an 8:6 roster from Thursday to Thursday.

THE ROLE

As the Mechanical Fixed Plant Supervisor, you will provide leadership across mechanical fixed plant maintenance activities, coordinating personnel and resources to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll work closely with maintenance and site leadership teams to manage maintenance priorities, minimise downtime and support overall plant reliability.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within mining or heavy industry
• Strong experience working with fixed plant and processing equipment
• Relevant mechanical trade qualification
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Relevant mining tickets and site experience will be highly regarded
