Job summary

Destec is seeking skilled Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitters for casual roster in the Northern Goldfields, WA. You will focus on preventative maintenance of fixed plant crushers and participate in upgrades.

Applicants must have Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification, current driver’s licence, and safety qualifications. Flexible day/night shifts offered to meet site needs.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
• Current Drivers Licence is required.
• High Risk - EWP ticket (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Proactive preventative maintenance of fixed plant crushers.
• Work on upgrades and improvements to existing infrastructure.
• Operate shifts including day and night as required.

We take pride in innovation by designing, constructing, building, maintaining, and operating our own crushing and screening plants for mining sites. Additionally, we provide comprehensive ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia.

The Opportunity

We're on the lookout for skilled and experiencedFixed Plant Mechanical Fitterswith experience working in and around fixed crushing plant operations based in the Northern Goldfields to join us on a casual basis on a 2&1 roster.

These roles will focus on proactive preventative maintenance of the existing fixed plant crushers, as well as working on upgrades and improvements to existing infrastructure.

The Important Information:

• Mechanical Fitters: Casual hourly rate of $79.01
• Superannuation paid on all hours worked

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
• Current Valid Driver's Licence
• High Risk - EWP Ticket (desirable)
• Current Working at Heights Qualification
• Current Confined Space Entry Qualification
• Previous experience & knowledge in Fixed Plant mining equipment and environments
• Experience with crushing and screening plants highly desirable
• Ability to work both day and night shifts
