Job summary

Guzman y Gomez in Leopold, Victoria, is seeking a Shift Leader to drive guest experiences and restaurant performance. You will train and coach crew, maintain high food-safety standards and cash handling while leading by example on every shift.

Join a team that values customer-first service and strong operations. You will manage labour, costs and deliveries, and help ensure the store runs profitably with clear communication and a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate required or willingness to complete.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol course completed or willingness to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Train, lead, coach and inspire crew across shifts to maintain high energy.
• Deliver standout service to customers, new and regular guests.
• Maintain food safety, cash handling, cleaning and stock control.
• Represent GYG by upholding values, policies and procedures.
• Communicate clearly with the restaurant team to stay aligned.
• Manage labour and COGS to drive store profitability.
• Oversee deliveries to ensure accuracy with invoices.

• Team up with fellow managers to train, lead, coach and inspire your crew while keeping the energy high on every shift
• Champion a “customer-first” mindset by delivering standout service to both new faces andregular guests
• Maintaining high quality foodsafety, cash handling, cleaning and stock control
• Be a proud ambassador of GYG by making sure all crew members live and breathe ourvalues, policies and procedures
• Communicate clearly and confidently with the restaurant team to keep everyone aligned
• Be hands-on with managing labour and COGS to help drive a successful, profitable store
• Oversee deliveries like a pro, ensuring orders are accurate and match invoices

We appreciate diverse experience, but specifically, we are looking for candidates who have:

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
• A track record of providing outstanding customer service
• Completed or willingness to complete Food Safety Supervisor certificate
• Completed or willingness to undertake Responsible Service of Alcohol course
