Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen in Melbourne is seeking a Shift Leader to help shape unforgettable dining experiences. You will work 3-4 shifts per week, with flexible hours including early mornings, late afternoons, and overnights.

Lead and train the crew, deliver standout service, and uphold food safety, cash handling, cleaning and stock control. You will champion our values, communicate clearly with the team, and help manage labour and COGS for a profitable store.

Formación

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Responsible Service of Alcohol course (or willingness to undertake).

At Guzman y Gomez, we believe in authentic flavours and the power of food to bring people together. As a Shift Leader at GYG, you will play a pivotal role in shaping unforgettable dining experiences.

We are looking for people that are available to work between 3-4 shifts a week, with flexible availability including early morning (6am onwards), late night (4pm onwards) and overnights (10pm onwards).

Your Role Will Include

• Team up with fellow managers to train, lead, coach and inspire your crew while keeping the energy high on every shift
• Champion a “customer-first” mindset by delivering standout service to both new faces and regular guests
• Maintaining high quality food safety, cash handling, cleaning and stock control
• Be a proud ambassador of GYG by making sure all crew members live and breathe our values, policies and procedures
• Communicate clearly and confidently with the restaurant team to keep everyone aligned
• Be hands-on with managing labour and COGS to help drive a successful, profitable store
• Oversee deliveries like a pro, ensuring orders are accurate and match invoices

We appreciate diverse experience, but specifically, we are looking for candidates who have:

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
• A track record of providing outstanding customer service
• Completed or willingness to complete Food Safety Supervisor certificate
• Completed or willingness to undertake Responsible Service of Alcohol course
