Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Service Manager to lead Brisbane operations in Murarrie, overseeing field service and workshop teams within heavy industry. You will report to the Managing Director and drive safety, quality and client satisfaction onsite.

The ideal candidate is a qualified mechanical tradesperson or a team lead looking to move off the tools into a leadership role with career growth in a global industrial engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Fitter, Mechanical or equivalent).
• Experience managing technical teams (3-15 people) within a field service or heavy workshop environment.
• A valid Australian driver's licence and a current passport are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule daily workflows for field service jobs and workshop projects.
• Mentor and lead a small team (5-15 people) of qualified mechanical tradespeople to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with industrial accounts, offering proactive technical solutions and swift issue resolution.
• Streamline workshop systems and procedures to boost efficiency and consistency.
• Cultivate a rigorous safety‑first culture and ensure full compliance with quality and environmental standards.

• Proven experience managing technical teams (3-15 people) within a field service or heavy workshop environment (you are a Workshop Manager, Team Lead or Field Service Manager).

• Good to have (not required): Experience working within heavily regulated sectors such as Oil & Gas, compression technology, or heavy industrial processing.

• Computer literacy: outlook, word, excel...

• A valid Australian driver's licence and a current passport are required.
