Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to own the performance of our Brisbane state operation in the heavy vehicle and transport solutions sector. You will be responsible for sales growth, workshop performance, parts operations, customer relationships and overall profitability with full P&L accountability.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution, manage a high-performing team, and drive sustainable business

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience leading a branch, region or business unit within heavy vehicles, transport equipment, manufacturing, automotive OEM, or servicing operations.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability with direct P&L responsibility.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships and drive revenue growth while leading workshop/operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic and operational performance for the state operation with full P&L accountability.
• Oversee: new and used equipment sales, workshop service/maintenance, parts sales/inventory, customer service, safety/compliance, and facility management.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team and drive profitability across sales, service and parts.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Regional Manager to take full ownership of a leading heavy vehicle and transport solutions operation, driving sales growth, workshop performance, parts operations, customer relationships, and overall branch profitability.

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader who understands the heavy vehicle industry from the ground up. Two opportunities are available, located in Sydney and Brisbane.

We're seeking a genuine industry leader who has progressed from a hands-on workshop or production environment into senior management. You understand the operational realities of a heavy vehicle, manufacturing, or service-based business and combine this experience with strong commercial acumen, customer relationship management skills, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams while driving sustainable business growth and profitability.

About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will have full responsibility for the strategic and operational performance of your state operation.

With complete P&L accountability, you will oversee:

• New and used equipment sales
• Workshop service, repairs and maintenance operations
• Spare parts sales and inventory management
• Customer service and after-sales support
• Safety, compliance and facility management
• Team leadership, coaching and performance

This role requires a balance of commercial acumen and operational leadership, with the ability to move seamlessly between customer meetings, sales strategy, workshop operations, and financial management.

What You'll Bring

Essential Experience

5+ years' experience leading a branch, region or business unit within:

• Heavy vehicles
• Transport equipment
• Manufacturing
• Automotive OEM
• Truck or equipment servicing operations
• Strong commercial and financial management capability
• Proven leadership experience with direct P&L responsibility
• Demonstrated success managing customer relationships and driving revenue growth
• Experience leading workshop and operational teams

Highly Desirable

• Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Fabrication, Welding or a related discipline
• Experience within the heavy vehicle, transport equipment or manufacturing sectors
• Understanding of heavy vehicle repairs, maintenance and aftermarket parts operations
• Existing network across transport, logistics or fleet customers
