THE AFTER SCHOOL KLUB is seeking a Service Manager for The Junction Public School NSW. This full-time role oversees daily operations of before and after school care, ensuring safety, inclusivity and regulatory compliance.

You will manage rostering, programming and family relationships to deliver high-quality care. Ideal candidates hold an Early Childhood Education qualification, current First Aid/CPR, WWCC clearance and proven leadership in childcare management within the NQS framework.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent experience.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Experience managing before/after school care and knowledge of NQS.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• WWCC clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Service Manager to join THE AFTER SCHOOL KLUB at The Junction Public School NSW. This is a full‑time position offering split shifts in the morning and afternoons. As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and quality assurance of our service, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of care whilst meeting regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal to our success and will have a direct impact on the experiences of the children and of the families who trust us with their care.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the before and after school care service, ensuring a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children


• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards, including the National Quality Standard (NQS) and duty of care requirements


• Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting systems to meet regulatory and operational requirements


• Ensure policies and procedures that promote child safety, wellbeing and development are followed


• Build and maintain strong relationships with families, schools, community partners and stakeholders


• Manage staff rostering and programming


• Respond to parent enquiries and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner

What we're looking for

• A formal qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in childcare management


• Current certification in First Aid and CPR, with a commitment to maintaining these qualifications


• Proven experience managing before and after school care services, with demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Standard


• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members


• Sound understanding of child safety, protection and wellbeing frameworks, including mandatory reporting obligations


• Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance or willingness to obtain one


• Experience with quality improvement frameworks and regulatory compliance is highly desirable
