Job summary

The After School Klub at The Junction Public School NSW is seeking a Service Manager to lead the before and after school care service, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

You will oversee daily operations, maintain records, and ensure compliance with NQS and duty of care, while building strong relationships with families and schools.

The role offers a full-time split-shift schedule, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive team culture in a childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent experience.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification and commitment to maintaining these.
• Proven experience managing before and after school care with knowledge of the NQS.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• WWCC clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the before and after school care service, ensuring a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and standards, including NQS and duty of care.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
• Ensure policies and procedures promote child safety, wellbeing and development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families, schools, community partners and stakeholders.
• Manage staff rostering and programming.
• Respond to parent enquiries and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner.
