SANY Group is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Service Manager based in Perth, WA, to lead after-sales service operations across Australia. You will oversee technical support, field service, warranty management and team performance to ensure high equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

The role requires managing field technicians, developing service strategies, and collaborating with sales, parts and logistics to deliver exceptional after-sales support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in after-sales service management within heavy equipment/mining sectors.
• Proven ability to manage field service technicians and service operations.
• Solid understanding of warranty management, equipment maintenance and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel across locations.

About the Role

The Heavy Equipment Service Manager will be responsible for leading and managing after-sales service operations for SANY's heavy equipment business across Australia.

The successful candidate will oversee technical support, field service operations, warranty management and service team performance, ensuring high levels of equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage after-sales service operations for mining trucks in WA.
• Develop and implement service strategies, policies and procedures to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee equipment commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty services.
• Provide technical guidance and support for complex equipment issues.
• Monitor service performance, response times, repair quality and customer satisfaction.
• Manage warranty claims, technical complaints and service-related customer issues.
• Work closely with sales, parts and logistics teams to deliver effective after-sales support.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, dealers and service partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve service processes, reduce equipment downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure all service activities comply with relevant Australian workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in after-sales service management within the heavy equipment, construction machinery or mining equipment industry.
• Proven experience managing field service technicians and service operations.
• Solid understanding of warranty management, equipment maintenance and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across different locations.
• Willingness to travel as required.
