Job summary

SANY Group in Sydney, NSW is seeking an experienced Wheel Loader Service Engineer to join our team. The role is based in Sydney and focuses on technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting and after‑sales service for wheel loaders and heavy equipment.

The successful candidate will diagnose faults, perform inspections, service and repairs, and travel within NSW (occasionally interstate). This role offers ongoing technical training and potential for permanent employment after the initial

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or related field.
• Experience servicing wheel loaders or heavy mobile equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults within mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel within NSW and interstate as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on wheel loaders and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system faults.
• Provide on-site technical support and after-sales service to customers.
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Work with sales, parts and service teams to support operations.

As part of our continued growth in Australia, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Wheel Loader Service Engineer to join our growing team, based in Sydney.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting and after-sales service for wheel loaders and other heavy machinery, ensuring equipment reliability and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on wheel loaders and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system faults.
• Provide on-site technical support and after-sales service to customers.
• Conduct equipment commissioning, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to customer service requests and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Work closely with the sales, parts and service teams to support business operations.

Skills & Requirements

• Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, Plant Mechanics or a related field.
• Proven experience in servicing and repairing wheel loaders or other heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults and work independently in the field.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel within NSW and occasionally interstate as required.
