Job summary

Kinetic IT in Canberra is seeking an experienced Service Continuity Manager to join our Federal Government engagement. You will develop and maintain continuity and disaster recovery plans, coordinate recovery testing, and drive improvements to readiness and response across ITIL-aligned processes.

The role is full-time, on-site, with security clearance requirements (AGSVA NV1/NV2) and you will collaborate with service owners, technical teams and stakeholders to ensure continuity plans remain

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship, with active NV1 or NV2 Government security clearance (AGSVA).
• Strong practical experience in ITIL-aligned service continuity management within a complex enterprise service management environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining continuity and disaster recovery plans, coordinating recovery testing and documenting outcomes.
• Ability to assess continuity risks and recovery readiness, translate test findings into practical improvements, and maintain clear reporting and controls.
• Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate technical, operational and service management teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain service continuity plans and recovery procedures aligned with business priorities, service requirements and disaster recovery arrangements.
• Manage the continuity testing schedule, coordinating recovery and restoration exercises with technical teams, service owners and stakeholders.
• Review test outcomes, identify recovery gaps and service continuity risks, and track improvement actions through to completion.
• Maintain continuity policies, procedures, process maps, reporting and controls aligned with ITIL, customer requirements and ESM governance obligations.
