Job summary

Epiroc in Mackay, QLD is seeking a Service Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and lead service delivery for our mining equipment at the customer site.

You will manage costs, performance reporting, and team leadership while upholding safety and quality policies, enabling efficient maintenance and reliable operations. This is a hands-on role with a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification or equivalent required.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Extensive experience maintaining surface/underground mining equipment and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer expectations and deliver outstanding service.
• Oversee daily activities to meet objectives and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage service job costs, including labor and resources.
• Monitor work in progress to meet milestones.
• Prepare and submit reports with accuracy and timeliness.
• Adhere to OHS, Quality, and Environmental policies for Epiroc and customers.
• Complete KPI-related tasks and provide regular performance reporting.
• Perform additional administrative duties as required.

We are currently seeking a Service Manager to join our team in Mackay, QLD. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of Epiroc equipment and resources at the customer site, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer expectations and consistently deliver outstanding service
• Oversee daily activities to meet business objectives and ensure timely service delivery
• Manage service job costs, including labor and resource allocation
• Monitor and manage work in progress to ensure project milestones are met
• Prepare and submit reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Adhere to OHS, Quality, and Environmental policies, both for Epiroc and our customers
• Complete KPI-related tasks and provide regular reporting on performance
• Perform other administrative duties as required

Key Requirements

• Mechanical trade qualifications or equivalent
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Extensive experience in maintaining surface/underground mining equipment, hydraulic repairs, diagnostics, and low-voltage electrical repairs
• Experience in both preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and proactive approach
• High level of computer literacy and administrative skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
