Job summary

Epiroc in Mackay, QLD is seeking a Service Manager to oversee daily operations and service delivery of on-site equipment, ensuring operational excellence for our mining customers. The role requires proven leadership, extensive maintenance experience on surface and underground equipment, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

You will manage costs, report on performance, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualifications or equivalent required.
• Proven leadership and people management required.
• Extensive experience maintaining surface/underground mining equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic repairs, diagnostics, and low-voltage electrical work.
• Experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Strong customer service and proactive approach.
• High computer literacy and strong administrative skills.
• Excellent communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and service delivery at the customer site.
• Manage service job costs, including labor and resources.
• Monitor work in progress to meet milestones.
• Prepare reports with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure adherence to OHS, Quality, and Environmental policies.

We are currently seeking a Service Manager to join our team in Mackay, QLD. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of Epiroc equipment and resources at the customer site, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer expectations and consistently deliver outstanding service


• Oversee daily activities to meet business objectives and ensure timely service delivery


• Manage service job costs, including labor and resource allocation


• Monitor and manage work in progress to ensure project milestones are met


• Prepare and submit reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness


• Adhere to OHS, Quality, and Environmental policies, both for Epiroc and our customers


• Complete KPI-related tasks and provide regular reporting on performance


• Perform other administrative duties as required

Key Requirements

• Mechanical trade qualifications or equivalent


• Proven leadership and people management skills


• Extensive experience in maintaining surface/underground mining equipment, hydraulic repairs, diagnostics, and low-voltage electrical repairs


• Experience in both preventative and breakdown maintenance


• Strong customer service skills with a professional and proactive approach


• High level of computer literacy and administrative skills


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
