Job summary

Epiroc Australia is seeking a Service Technician – HD Fitter / Mobile Plant / Mechanical Fitter for our Adelaide Workshop. Join our team to overhaul major components, service mining equipment and deliver hands-on technical support to customers in the field.

You will work with experienced technicians in a professional workshop, with opportunities to develop technical skills while supporting customer sites as needed. Safety, quality and teamwork are core to the role within a global organisation.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant, Mechanical Fitting or Fitting trade certificate.
  • Extensive maintenance and mechanical fitting experience on heavy equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with precision measurement and tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Perform major component overhauls to a high standard.
  • Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on mining equipment.
  • Diagnose and fault-find mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Work with precision measurements and fine tolerances in a workshop.
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Follow safety, quality and OH&S policies.
  • Collaborate with technicians, customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide planned and ad hoc site support when required.

About the Role

As a Service Technician, you’ll be an integral part of our service team, working in a professional workshop environment while also providing planned and ad hoc support at customer sites when required.

You’ll work with experienced technicians and gain exposure to a diverse range of Epiroc mining equipment and components, with opportunities to further develop your technical skills and career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform major component overhauls to a high standard
  • Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on mining equipment
  • Diagnose and fault-find mechanical and electrical issues
  • Work with precision measurements and fine tolerances in a quality-focused workshop
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders

About You

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys solving technical problems and is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.

You will have:

  • A Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant, Mechanical Fitting or Fitting trade qualification/certificate
  • Extensive maintenance and mechanical fitting experience
  • Experience working on heavy mining equipment or major components
  • Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with precision measurement and working to fine tolerances
  • An uncompromising commitment to safety
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure
  • A flexible approach and willingness to travel to customer sites when required
