Job summary

AECOM Australia is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer with a strong background in drainage and flood modelling to join our team across multiple Australian offices. You will lead technical delivery, mentor junior engineers, and engage with clients and regulators on major infrastructure projects.

Relocation assistance and hybrid work options are available, with opportunities to shape projects across Townsville, Rockhampton, Mackay and beyond.

Qualifications

• Proven Drainage/Flood Modelling industry experience (circa 5-15 years +).
• Demonstrated planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage networks or hydrologic modelling.
• Experience with major infrastructure projects in a consulting or multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Technical delivery of drainage designs, stormwater plans, and hydraulic assessments for local council and major projects.
• Provide input into hydrologic/hydraulic analyses using Civil3D, 12D, TUFLOW, DRAINS, URBS, XP-Rafts or similar tools.
• Develop practical solutions to drainage and flooding challenges and write high-quality reports.
