Job summary

Catalyst Metals is hiring a Senior Ventilation and Projects engineer at the Plutonic Gold Mine in Western Australia. You will deliver capital and operational projects aligned with the mine plan, focusing on power, pumping, ventilation, and IT, while driving process improvements and safety standards.

You will collaborate with geology, underground operations and maintenance to ensure plans are executable, risks understood and performance optimised, with mentoring for junior staff and opportunities

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience is required.
• Completed underground practical experience for WA FCMMCC is required.
• Ventilation, project or infrastructure experience preferred.
• Short-term scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Mine Planning to define infrastructure for safe, efficient mining.
• Input into annual capital project budgeting.
• Contribute to mine schedules for infrastructure needs (2-weekly, 3-monthly, quarterly).
• Oversee primary and secondary ventilation planning and compliance.
• Provide technical oversight of project scoping, tendering and award processes.
• Develop life-of-mine strategies for power, pumping, IT, mine water and ventilation.
• Develop safe work plans for project crews and mentor staff.
