Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking a driven Planning Engineer to design underground mine development layouts, stopes, and extraction plans, while delivering 13-week schedules to meet production targets.

You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure geotechnical compliance, GCMP standards, and safe drill-and-blast execution. WA C-Class licence and underground time are essential; First Class Mine Manager's Certificate is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
• Proficiency in Deswik (CAD, UGDB, Sched) and Microsoft Office.
• Completed underground time.
• Current unrestricted WA C-Class Driver's Licence.
• National Police Clearance (within 12 months).
• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe and practical underground mine designs, including development layouts, stopes, Mini-DAF/DAF designs, and level extraction plans.
• Prepare and maintain 13-week mine schedules aligned with production and operational requirements.
• Review drill and blast plans to ensure safe and effective execution.
• Ensure designs comply with geotechnical requirements, the GCMP, and ventilation planning standards.
• Support a strong safety culture through risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations, and compliance activities.
• Maintain planning systems and databases, including Deswik and LiveMine, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Identify and communicate critical path activities across plans, forecasts, and budgets.
