Job summary
Gold Fields in Western Australia is seeking a senior Planning Engineering leader to oversee and optimize mine planning across multiple underground operations. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, develop comprehensive plans from short-term implementation to medium-term LO M aligned to strategy, and work with operations to improve safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
The role features a 4/3 to 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, permanent employment, and relocation accommodation for eligible
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive underground mining experience with open pit desirable.
- Experience developing operational mine designs and schedules.
- Proficient with Deswik.CAD/Deswik.Sched and Ventsim.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive underground mine plans.
- Lead Planning Engineering teams across operations.
- Review and update mine plans to align with LO M objectives.
- Monitor KPI and mining costs; identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and training.
- Communicate with senior management on forecasts and KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning and production processes.
