Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to design and optimise underground mine layouts and schedules in a long-life WA operation. You will collaborate with operational stakeholders to align plans with production targets while upholding safety, environmental and technical standards.

You will work with Deswik and LiveMine, maintain data integrity, and drive critical path activities across plans and budgets. A strong safety culture and WA C-Class license are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering required.
• Underground mining experience highly regarded.
• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate is a plus; police clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe and practical underground mine designs and extraction plans.
• Prepare and maintain 13-week mine schedules aligned with production targets.
• Review drill and blast plans for safe execution.
• Ensure designs comply with geotechnical, GCMP and ventilation standards.
• Support safety culture through risk assessments and inspections.
• Maintain planning systems and databases (Deswik, LiveMine).
• Identify critical path activities across plans, forecasts and budgets.
