Job summary

Glencore’s Mount Isa Mines Operations seeks a Principal Advisor – Training to design onboarding and competency frameworks aligned to regulatory requirements. You will lead a large training team, drive governance, and advise site leadership on workforce readiness and training investment priorities.

The role focuses on ensuring systems are compliant, measuring outcomes, and managing budgets, vendor contracts and RTO relationships to support safe production and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level educational/training background or related discipline with regulatory awareness.
• Proven expertise in designing onboarding and competency frameworks.
• Experience leading large cross-functional training teams in heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fit-for-purpose onboarding and competency frameworks.
• Drive training governance, assurance and verification across the site.
• Provide strategic counsel on workforce readiness and training investment priorities.
• Lead a large training team and manage budgets, vendors and RTO relationships.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
