Job summary

Boab Metals Limited seeks a Technical Services Manager to lead the technical functions supporting the Sorby Hills Project. You will oversee mine planning, geology, survey, drill and blast, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective performance on a site-based leadership role.

The role reports to the General Manager Operations and collaborates with operations, engineering and projects teams. A tertiary qualification in mining-related field and open pit experience are essential.

Qualifications

Extensive leadership experience in technical services within mining.
Strong background in open pit mining operations and mine planning.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the site's Technical Services team (mine planning, geology, survey, drill & blast).
Develop and oversee short, medium and long-term mine plans.
Ensure accurate resource utilization, mine design and production forecasting.
Drive continuous improvement to enhance productivity, efficiency and cost.
Provide technical guidance to operations, engineering and project teams.
Monitor performance against budget and KPIs.
Manage reconciliation and reporting of production and resources.
Support life-of-mine planning and strategic development.
Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental and safety requirements.
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
