Job summary

Boab Metals Limited is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to drive the Sorby Hills Project forward from Osborne Park, Perth, with site travel as needed. You will lead major work packages, manage contractors and stakeholders, and control costs, schedules and risks to help deliver the project on time and safely.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar.
• Valid C-class driver’s licence and ability to obtain site medical clearance.
• Ability to obtain remote site induction for fly-in fly-out work.
• 5+ years in project/site engineering in mining/resources/industrial settings.
• Experience delivering capital projects through EPC/CON/commissioning phases.
• Exposure to mine development or processing plant projects.
• Strong contractor management including EPC contracts.
• Proven budget, schedule, risk and stakeholder management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in dynamic environments.
• Autonomous decision-making for project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of major project packages from concept to commissioning.
• Manage contractor performance: scope, schedule, cost, risk and quality outcomes.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets and progress reporting.
• Provide leadership to contractors, consultants and project teams.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise delays and costs.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction and operations.
• Support commercial management: variations, claims, progress certification.
• Prepare reports for senior management and steering committees.
• Act as Project Manager for designated work packages as required.
