Job summary

Optimum Consulting partners with a large metallurgical coal mine in the Bowen Basin to grow their Technical Services team. We are seeking Mining Engineers and Senior Mining Engineers with expertise in Short Term Planning, Mid Term Planning or Drill and Blast to join an owner operated operation.

Roles offer real ownership, a lean team, and close collaboration with site operations to deliver safe, efficient plans across horizons.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Mining Engineering.
• 3+ years mining engineering experience in open pit coal or hard rock.
• Proven experience in short term planning, mid term planning or drill and blast.
• Proficient with Deswik, SPRY, Minex, XPAC, Vulcan, ShotPlus or BlastLogic.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver safe, integrated short- and mid-term mine plans.
• Collaborate with site operations to ensure plan feasibility and execution.
• Provide technical leadership within a lean Technical Services team.
