Job summary

Brisbane City Council is seeking a Senior Technical Officer to shape the maintenance and management of Brisbane’s buildings and infrastructure assets. You will conduct complex inspections and condition assessments, identify issues, and develop scopes and estimates for maintenance and remediation works.

This role combines technical expertise with innovative inspection technologies including drones and spatial systems, managing contracted works and providing QA while collaborating with internal

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge in engineering, construction, building surveying or related discipline.
• Experience inspecting or maintaining civil, structural or building assets.
• Knowledge of structural defects, deterioration and rehabilitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, asset mapping and condition assessments for buildings and infrastructure assets.
• Prepare scopes, estimates, plans and schedules for maintenance and remediation works.
• Use drones, photogrammetry, spatial systems and other technologies to capture and analyse asset information.
• Coordinate contractors and undertake project, procurement and quality assurance activities.
• Identify risks and provide accurate technical reports and advice to stakeholders.
