McCallum Disability Services Inc. in Saint Arnaud, VIC, is seeking a Senior Team Leader to oversee two houses and coordinate a dedicated team of support workers.

McCallum Disability Services provides permanent Specialist Disability Accommodation and Support Independent Living Supports for people with disabilities in Ballarat and St Arnaud.

About McCallum Accommodation:

McCallum currently operates two homes in St Arnaud. Our homes are purpose built to create a safe and comfortable place for people to live. It is the person’s home and they are supported by staff to make informed choices and decisions around all areas of their life. They are supported to be as independent as possible and to be part of their community.

About the Role:

As a Senior Team leader working within our two houses in St Arnaud, you will provide a high standard of support to the residents whilst managing and supervising our team of support workers. The Senior Team Leader will provide strong practice leadership, coaching and mentoring to their team to ensure optimum active supports are delivered in a safe, timely and responsive way. The Senior Team Leader is the key contact for their portfolio of customers, their families and care teams. Exceptional customer service and striving for satisfaction is at the heart of everything they do.

About You:

To be successful in this role you have:

• A relevant qualification within Disability / Community Services or related field (Cert IV or higher)
• demonstrated experience working in a support role where the customers are at the centre of everything that you do, ideally you will understand contemporary best practice positive behaviour support and active supports
• a collaborative and inclusive approach to people, wellbeing and outcomes
• experience as a consultative, collaborative and inclusive team leader
• the ability to engage, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
• NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate – HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Right to work in Australia
