Not every support role gives you the opportunity to lead.
At Bowden Lodge, you'll do more than support people to achieve their goals. You'll be a trusted mentor, a cultural advocate, and a senior presence that helps create a safe, respectful and empowering environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men. Based at Bowden Lodge, this role combines hands-on support work with leadership, coaching and operational coordination responsibilities.
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker who thrives on supporting others, building capability within teams, and creating positive outcomes for people experiencing disadvantage.
This is more than a frontline support role.
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll provide direct support to clients while acting as a senior practice leader during shifts. You'll help guide and mentor Support Workers, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, support service coordination activities, and help ensure clients receive culturally safe, trauma-informed and person-centered support.
Working closely with Team Leaders, Case Managers, Coordinators and allied health professionals, you'll play a key role in supporting clients to build independence, strengthen life-skills and achieve their individual goals.
You're a natural leader who understands that great support starts with strong relationships, cultural respect and genuine care.
You enjoy working alongside people from diverse backgrounds, helping others build skills and confidence, and creating positive outcomes for those who need support the most.
